Window Tinting | Privacy & Decoration

Do you want to restrict vision through your windows? With window film applied you can do this. Whether you want to stop people looking into your kitchen, lounge, conservatory or bathroom, we have the solution.

None of us like to think we can be watched in our own homes, however, we do want the benefits of windows. Window film can either give daytime one-way privacy or opaque full time privacy. Both options allow natural light to pass through. If people do not have clear vision into your home, you will be less likely to be a target for burglars. They may not break in if they cannot see what is on offer!

You can obtain privacy from window films in different ways:

By applying a tinted or reflective window film (window tinting) onto your windows, you will achieve daytime privacy. It works by reflecting light so people on the outside will not be able to see in, but you will have a clear view out. Natural light will still pass through. It needs to be at least 3 times brighter on the viewed side for it to work effectively.

At night time you will have to pull blinds or curtains as the films' effects are reversed. Remember, even without window film, you would always pull your curtains at night!

If you require full time privacy, you will need one of our many opaque window films. All these films will obscure the glass in both directions, whatever the light level, but allow natural light to pass through. They will not make the room feel dark.

Unfortunately bare glass in an interior setting can be aesthetically boring and can present a hazard when used for doors and partitions with people often feeling it before seeing it. Using decorative films gives glass an attractive appearance as well as giving high visibility in traffic areas.

Also decorative films can be used to give privacy in offices and meeting rooms. Fortunately, because of the flexibility of high performance films, they may be cut by computer controlled machines into attractive and innovative designs. This enables organisations to place attractive designs on office partitions or shop fronts quickly without the need for changing the glass or messy etching. Corporate identity can be improved by creating a corporate logo in a number of finishes to enhance the exterior and interior of your premises.

Decorative films can give many visual effects like mirrored stripes, but still retain the ability to let light in. The film can have a sand blasted look or an acid etched finish in satin or sparkling effect.

Solar Guard decorative films can transform the ambience of your building, improve your organisation's corporate identity, keep out prying eyes and improve employee's safety.
